The Sample City Business Journal is a monthly newspaper published by the Chamber. It contains a variety of articles about business, Chamber members and the community at large. The circulation of the Sample City Business Journal includes all business licensees in Sample City, all Chamber members, and some courtesy recipients. This constitutes a distribution of approximately 7,500 businesses and a readership that is significantly larger. Advertising is available in the Sample City Business Journal in various sizes and price ranges.The Guide to Sample City is an annual publication. It provides a list of all Chamber member businesses with their address and contact information. This Guide also provides useful facts and information about Sample City. The Guide is a compact size, 9"x4", and fits easily in the glove compartment of an automobile, thus making it a handy reference for citizens to carry around with them. Approximately 12,000 Guides are distributed each year. They are distributed throughout the community and sent to out of area individuals who inquire about Sample City and its business community. Listing in the Guide to Sample City is free to all Chamber members, however there are opportunities to purchase advertising space in addition to the member's listing. These ads have a range of prices to fit any business budget.
The Chamber web site has two advertising opportunities. The first, absolutely free to members, is our business listing section. All member businesses are listed according to their category and also can be searched for alphabetically. This allows anyone coming to the web site to search the database for the goods or services they require. The second opportunity for advertising on the web site is to purchase an enchanced business listing. Members can make their listings even more distinctive with some eye-catching enhancements. For a small fee, you can add color, expand your listing or add a logo or illustration.
Another advertising opportunity with the Sample City Chamber of Commerce is the Mid-Month Mailer. This mailer is a combination of flyers from member businesses that is sent via bulk mail to a select list of consumers.
There are two methods of advertising that do not involve print. The first is sponsoring a mixer. If you have the type of business that would benefit from being shown off to fellow members and their guests, you can sponsor a mixer. Mixers are held monthly and occur after business hours. Not only do you show off your business at a mixer, but you also give a brief personal greeting and commercial to the attendees. This is a great way to get a large group acquainted with your goods or services, and to generate networking and word-of mouth advertising.
Another sponsoring opportunity is the Chamber's Business Connection Luncheon. This luncheon occurs monthly, provides networking opportunities, good food and interesting speakers. As a sponsor all of your printed information is placed at each individual place setting and you deliver a brief verbal commercial for your business. The cost is nominal and the exposure is great.
